For this project, we created a 1-month Pinterest campaign with a Lifetime Adspend of $500. We like to start with these smaller campaigns to see if Pinterest marketing is the right fit for the client. To begin, we met with our client to determine their goals and focus products. We also connected with Pinterest’s advertising reps to get more insights into targeting for this customer.
At launch, we set up 1 campaign with 4 ad groups. Each ad group had 4 ads with UTM codes for tracking. The images were from a session the client had with one of their photographers — and we selected the ones that would be the best fit for the campaign.
We also set up a retargeting audience based on this campaign. This captures anyone who has engaged with their ads or visited the site during the campaign.
After launch, we were pleased with the results – with a checkout ROA of 35 (2 is average on this platform). The campaign was so successful that we switched to a daily ad spend at the end of the first month — with a plan to run it for the entire quarter.
